Accurate Biometrics is now a fingerprint provider for DCFS fingerprinting in Illinois. The fee associated with the fingerprinting is paid for by DCFS.

The State of Illinois requires the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to conduct fingerprint-based background checks on all individuals living or working in a licensed childcare facility who may have unrestricted or unsupervised access to children in care.

The scope of healthcare professions requiring a level 2 background check is expanded, including dentists, optometrists, pharmacists, mental health counselors, and dietitians. A level 2 background check is also required for license renewals.
