New method for fingerprint analysis

In Illinois, individuals often request a personal fingerprint background check to ensure their records are accurate or to begin the process of record clearing. Having proof of a clear record helps build trust in an independent service business. It can let a student know there are no disqualifying offenses before pursuing a career that requires a background check for a professional license.

The scope of healthcare professions requiring a level 2 background check is expanded, including dentists, optometrists, pharmacists, mental health counselors, and dietitians. A level 2 background check is also required for license renewals.

Florida Department of Education (DOE) level 2 background screening is now processed by the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, or “Clearinghouse” for short.
