Are You Ready For Fingerprinting?
- Obtain a VECHS Qualified Entity number from the company requesting the background check.
- Use your Live Scan Request Form as a reference to register online for fingerprinting.
- Bring your registration confirmation email (printed or on your phone) along with your current (not expired) driver’s license, government issued identification card, or passport to the fingerprinting Kiosk location of your choosing. (You will choose your location after clicking the GET FINGERPRINTING button below.) Please call us at (866) 361-9944 if you have any questions.
- Your fingerprints are captured by the technician at the fingerprinting Kiosk and are sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for processing. Once the results are received from FDLE, the average processing time for clearance is approximately 3-5 business days.
- You will receive an email providing you with a Transaction Control Number (TCN) that verifies your live scan submission has been processed. The TCN number can be given to the Company that is requesting the background check as it will help them track results. IMPORTANT: Please save your TCN number for reference.

Teachers, non-instructional employees and volunteers at private schools in Florida are required by the Volunteer and Employee Criminal History System (VECHS) to get a fingerprint-based Level 2 Background Check.
Private schools participating in state scholarship programs have the responsibility to ensure that employees and contracted personnel meet the background screening standards under Section 1002.421, Florida Statutes (FS). Through the VECHS program, FDLE and the FBI provide state and national criminal history record
information on applicants, employees, and volunteers to qualified organizations, not individuals. To
