In order to work with a company that is regulated through Department of Children & Families (DCF), all applicants are required to undergo a Level 2 background check, that includes a live scan fingerprinting process.
DCF uses a Clearinghouse that allows the results of the criminal history checks to be shared with multiple state agencies when an individual is looking to work with, volunteer at, or contract through any organization providing services to children, the elderly and disabled individuals. Once you have your background checked, you can move between agencies (especially those that volunteer for multiple organizations) and not have to get a new fingerprint background check each time.

Agency for Persons with Disability (APD/APD CDC Plus) requires background screening for employment or licensure for people providing direct care services to children, the elderly, and people with developmental disabilities. The services may be provided in group homes or care facilities, or consumer supported direct care, CDC+.ADP/ADP CDC Plus Screening
Hillsborough County Child Care Licensing (HCCCL) regulates the operations of child care centers and family child care homes in Hillsborough County. A complete background screening is required for all employees of child care facilities prior to employment. Any volunteer working more than 10 hours per month in any family child care home or child care center must also have a background screening.HCCCL Screening
