Are You Ready For Fingerprinting?
The company that is requesting your Level 2 background check has to go on the
APD/APD CDC Plus web Portal and generate a Level 2 background check request.
After they have registered you into the APD/APD CDC Plus Clearinghouse portal
they must provide you with a Live Scan Request Form that the system
automatically generates with an ORI number and a Screening ID number.

The fingerprints and photo that are captured by the technician at the
fingerprinting Kiosk are sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
(FDLE). The FDLE then sends the fingerprints
to the FBI for processing. The results are then disseminated
back to Agency for Persons with Disabilities/Department of Children & Families
Clearinghouse. Once the results are received from FDLE, the average processing
clearance is approximately 3-5 business days.
You will receive an email providing you with a Transaction Control Number (TCN)
that verifies your live scan submission has been processed. The TCN number can
be given to the company that is requesting the background check as it will help
them track results. IMPORTANT: Please save your TCN number for reference.

Employees at Assisted Living Facilities are required to get a Level 2 fingerprint-based background
check before they can start working.
In order to work with a company that is regulated through the Agency for Persons with Disability
(APD) and APD CDC Plus, all applicants are required to undergo a Level 2 background check, that
includes a live scan fingerprinting process.
& APD CDC Plus uses a Clearinghouse that allows the results of the criminal history checks
to be shared with multiple state agencies when an individual is looking to work with, volunteer at,
or contract through any organization providing services to children, the elderly and disabled
individuals. Once you have your background checked, you can move between agencies (especially those
that volunteer for multiple organizations) and not have to get a new fingerprint background check
