Accurate Biometrics complies with the State of Illinois masking policy. At Accurate Biometrics locations, masks are now optional for both applicants and technicians. Our technicians will still maintain a high standard of cleanliness for the protection of our applicants.
We also support Governor J.B. Pritzker's call for compassion during this change.
"I do want to say very importantly, if you feel like you should wear a mask, anywhere, indoors or outdoors... in a room with more people than you think is comfortable, you should wear a mask and I want to encourage people to have some compassion for everybody else," he said. "Both ways, whether they're wearing a mask or not."
Excerpts from the State of Illinois Press Release:
Due to the continued decrease in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, and increase in available ICU beds, the Illinois indoor mask requirement will end Monday, February 28, 2022, at 12:01 a.m.
Masks will still be required where federally mandated (including on public transit), health care facilities, congregate settings, long term care facilities, and daycare settings. Additionally, private businesses and municipalities may choose to implement their own masking requirements.
We were very pleased, as our fellow Illinoisans, to receive the June 10th announcement from the Office of the Governor announcing the full reopening of the State on June 11th, 2021.
However, as noted by IDPH Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, "… it is important to remember that we are still in a world pandemic and not everyone has the protection of one of the safest and most effective vaccines ever. Currently, there is not a vaccine authorized for children younger than 12 years and some adults have chosen not to be vaccinated. For these reasons, it is important for unvaccinated people to continue to wear masks while in public and to socially distance. The virus can continue to spread among unvaccinated individuals, which could lead to additional mutations and new, more virulent variants."
We kindly ask that all unvaccinated fingerprinting applicants wear a mask before entering one of Accurate Biometrics’ fingerprinting locations.
